This project required us to make a piece of Environmental Typography, which would communicate something in relation to the climate crisis. This message was to have a positive spin to it, rather than focussing on spreading negative awareness, as is often the case.

I researched into the benefits of switching off electronic devices completely rather than leaving them on the 'standby' function. This is a small and easy switch in routine which could save on emissions in the long term.

 

This was displayed in an upcycled computer, which featured the message spelled out in the iconic red light of the standby function and was photographed around the city of Dundee.
